Its main aim is to contribute to preventing psychological violence and coercive control while safeguarding women who are most at-risk, including those under 30, individuals with disabilities or health conditions, non-heterosexuals, and those with migrant backgrounds.

Objectives

  • To enhance the accessibility of information and upskill social services professionals (SSPs) to offer more effective support to women at-risk
  • To design and execute awareness-raising campaigns that highlight the gendered nature of violence and recognize the role of gender inequality and sexism

Activities

  • Developing training materials for a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) program targeted at Social Service Professionals in English, Greek, Spanish and Lithuanian
  • Establishing an e-learning platform to host the CPD program
  • Conducting 4 national piloting sessions in Greece, Romania, Spain and Lithuania involving 40 Social Service Professionals in total who work directly with women at-risk
  • Developing impactful awareness-raising materials and an e-campaign with key messages
  • Organizing at least 4 consultation meetings to foster cooperation and increase stakeholder involvement
  • Creating promotional materials and tools such as videos and a project website
  • 4 national awareness-raising workshops with a minimum of 200 participants

The PROTECTWOMEN — Promoting prevention of coercive control and psychological violence against women most at-risk, is a European project funded under the Erasmus+ programme in the field of Adult education. It lasts 18 months and gathers 4 partners from 4 EU countries – Greece, Spain, Romania and Lithuania.
