The Social Innovation Fund (SIF) is a Lithuanian non-governmental organisation established in 1994, dedicated to empowering people with fewer opportunities and disadvantaged backgrounds through education, social support, information, and guidance. With more than 30 years of experience, SIF operates at local, national, and European levels, implementing projects that promote social inclusion, gender equality, women’s empowerment, employability, digital transformation, sustainability, and lifelong learning.

SIF works closely with a broad network of stakeholders, including NGOs, women’s organisations, adult education providers, universities, employers’ associations, public institutions, and international networks. The organisation maintains strong cooperation with around 200 national and 200 international partners.

As a member of the Lithuanian Women’s Lobby Organisation and the European Women’s Lobby network, SIF actively contributes to advancing women’s human rights, equal opportunities, and the prevention of gender-based violence. The organisation pays particular attention to vulnerable groups, including women survivors of domestic violence, long-term unemployed people, migrants, single parents, and individuals living in remote areas.

SIF is recognised as one of the leading Lithuanian NGOs in adult and youth education. Since 2014, the organisation has significantly expanded its digital learning services by developing innovative e-learning platforms and blended learning methodologies based on the Moodle environment. Its educational activities focus on digital inclusion, key competences, entrepreneurship, soft skills, digital-financial literacy, artificial intelligence in education, healthy lifestyles, and sustainable development.

The organisation’s experienced multidisciplinary team provides training, coaching, and guidance to hundreds of learners every year. Over 6,000 participants have completed SIF training programmes and workshops, with many successfully entering employment, starting businesses, or continuing their education.

Since its establishment, SIF has implemented more than 150 European, national, and international projects funded by programmes such as Erasmus+, CERV, AMIF, and national public institutions.
